GET INVOLVED
TODAY!

Everyone enjoys these lands in different ways, so of course everyone will bring something different to the table to help establish the Community Forest!

WAYS TO ENGAGE.

You are the community in community forest. A project of this kind will take lots of time, dedication and participation by those connected to these lands. The ways to engage will change throughout the process, but your participation is needed throughout. Below are some of the ways that you will be able to participate:

LEARN

Participate in meetings and events, visit our website, and engage with Checkerboard Partnership members.

SURVEY (closed)

Survey results will be incorporated into the management plan for the community forest. Check out the results here.

PRIORITIZE

Once values have been collected, you can give voice to which values you think are the most important.

PARTICIPATE

Managing the forest in a way that is impactful and meaningful to the community will require your continued participation.

Of course, there will be many more ways to engage other than the ones listed above.

There will likely be opportunities to volunteer. Or, you may be able to donate resources or expertise.

If you have specific ways that you think you can contribute, please contact us.
